Is there a way to take the list based themes from the 8700 and use them to create new themes in the theme generator?
Also, can you take a theme set from the BB and bring it into the theme builder. Like Theres a theme that came with the BB thats got transparent iconds that would be nice to have to create a new theme i have in mind.

If I understand your questions, it is not possible to an installed Theme and import it to the Theme Builder for modifications.
Hope this helps.

Can anybody come up with the 8700 default theme with bbcasual font theme size 10 with antiliazing? That would be cool....I like the look of the new icons but with a more regular look to the menus and such.

Basically I am wanting to make my own list based theme on the 8700. I also want to snag the transparant icons from another theme to use on an icon theme I'm working on. But I prefer the list based theme.
Anyway of using the Zen theme without the new OS upgrade, or changing key files to allow it?

As of right now, there is only one theme for the 8700 in the Theme Builder. Plazmic has stated that they are considering others for the next release of the TB, but no time frame.
As to Zen, I don't think so.
Sorry I can't help more, I don't like the battery indicators in the 8700 TB base theme, but I still use the themes I created, all of which use transparent Icons, giving even less clutter than the Zen theme.
Hope this helps.

No - you have to install the Zen theme to get that working. Out of curiosity, why not just do the Zen install?

Can I get your set of transparent icons? (full transparent or partially transparent?)

I don't have transparent icons - there aren't any in the Zen theme, that's the beauty of it. As well as the fact that sound quality is improved in the theme also, and you have the ability to utilize any image you want to as the backgroound image with no interference. FYI...

You can install the Zen theme without updating your BlackBerry's OS but you will need to edit some of the loader files on your desktop. What you need to do is add references into the loader files that include the Zen theme files as part of your existing OS build. After modifying the desktop loader files, when you launch the BB Desktop Application Loader it will show that your OS needs to be updated but only the Zen files will load. I was able to load the files for the Zen theme onto my 7250 in this way.

Thanks this looks good. If you decide to do any others that would be cool too. If any one wants to do some SuperBike Themes that would be awesome. The Suzuki team is best one to do.....

whsbuss gave you the link to the Plazmic CDK, but you'll also need to download the correct version of the SUN Java SDK (google for Sun Java ) and ther Blackberry JDE from www.blackberry.com.
Hope this helps.

New theme challenge? -
03-10-2006, 01:49 PM
I am amazed at the creativity and generosity of the theme builders who post here. If anyone is looking for a new challenge, I have some ideas. Would anyone be interested in creating a 72XX based theme using the attached file, a maroon and yellow color scheme, and some really creative icons?
1st Step in Troubleshooting: Do you have a BlackBerry Data Plan?
2nd Step in Troubleshooting: Pull the Battery.

Wow!!!
I just got a 7130e last week and have been on this thread all day looking at some of the themes. You guys are true artists. Its amazing.
Anyways, I was wondering if I missed them or if anyone has these for a 71xx:
Edmonton Oilers Theme
Dallas Cowboys Theme
Ford Theme
Either Icon or Lists would be great. (personally I prefer list).
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
