I can't get any of the themes to load on my 8700. When I select the .alx file in the application loader, an error pops up saying:

"No additional applications designed for your handheld were found"

and it will not add it to the list. I have tried a few different files with the same results.

I also did a search and did not come up with anyone else having this problem.

What am I doing wrong?

Be sure to keep all the themes u install in the same directory. Re-boot your box(computer) and start the desktop manager over. The error you received is a common error. There is nothing wrong with the themes but rather the desktop manager reading the files

i was wondering, since they are in the playoffs, can someone do a cool calgary flames theme for the 71xx, maybe with some cool hockey related icons. i'd do it myself but i'm so computer illiterate its not even funny...

having read through 90% of the thread, and being a new blackberry user, I have a couple of questions.

1. Is it still impossible to create 8700 themes that use the quarter circles in the corners? I read that you only get one sample file with themebuilder and all themes built must use this format, but it occurs to me that there must be some way to break the packaging on the .alx file. surely the themes use an equvavelnt of a .xml file to put the elements together, and if the file could be broken, it would open up new possibilties for coding.

2. Why doesn't someone put together a repository of themes on a single website? With the activeness of this community, I'm sure you could get most of the author's permission. This thread is getting insane.

Thanks for responses, you'll probably be getting more n))b questions from me shortly.

i really need calgary flames 7100 theme... the one on the previous page is for an 8700 and will not work... if anyone could turn that one into a 7100 theme i would be much obliged...
