So how do you actually download slr7741's themes? There's no link or d/l address.

Hello, i like to make themes, ive only done two, and only changed the backgrounds, so i want to get into the icon files, but everytime i do it, the icon doesnt have a transparent background so it looks ugly, can anybody tell me what format does the icon has to be, gif ? png ? what software do i need to make the icon have a transparent background, i use paint shop pro.

Just make a "blank" icon the size you need for your BB series. (on the 7200 it is 36X36) I use Photo Shop but your program should be able to make a new icon with a transparent background.
In Theme builder coose your transparent icon for the normal veiw on each icon, This will make the transparent until scolled over.
If you want totaly transparent icons replace both the normal and focus icons for each item. You can also replace the main focus icon with your transparent one. When you scroll through only the lable at the bottom will change to tell you what function your focused on.

After modifying the desktop loader files, when you launch the BB Desktop Application Loader it will show that your OS needs to be updated but only the Zen files will load. Hey Mark. Do happen to have explicit instructions for this? I want so bad to be able to use the Zen theme, but haven't been able to find out how. I have a 7250 on Verizon. Thanks in advance.

I would also like to see these steps outlined because I have yet to see this on a 7250 (which I own) and if it is possible you will probably make a whole bunch of people real happy. One thing is to manage to load it, another is to manage to run it.

Any chance you could make the cubscout themes for the 71xx? Myself and another cubmaster would install it immediately. Thanks.

Can someone tell me how to fix this problem...I have gone in photoshop and reduced the quality but other than that I dont know what to do.

Digital Certificate Workaround? -
05-04-2006, 01:59 PM
Anyone figured out a workaround for the digital certificate issue? My company is crazy about security and will not allow all 3rd party app to be installed. Isn't there a way to fake a certificate?

Are you asking about an IT Policy? Digital certificates are about encryption and digital signatures and have nothing to do with preventing downloads and installing appllications. If you search (search button on the top of the page) for removing policy you find a thread on how to do it.
That being said, if you're usiing a company BB or your own on your company's BES and you remove the policy, they will find out and you may not like the results. Especially if you really need your job. In most companies, violation of company security policies is grounds for disciplinary action upto and including dismissal.
Hope this helps.
