For some reason, the wallpaper won't integrate into the theme. The Plazmic creation software complains that the wallpaper is over 60 kb, but it's only about 20 kb. So you can get the Bliss wallpaper that's intended to go with the theme at my BB site here:

Also, I can't figure out how to make the font sizes in the theme obey the settings in Options > Screen/Keyboard, so most of the menus and stuff are set to size 7 because that's what I prefer. If anyone can tell me how to make it obey the settings on the BlackBerry, I'd appreciate it.
I believe in the Plazmic documentation it mentions setting the Font using the Edit menu. Check it out.

^ I did read through the documentation. You can change all the fonts at once using the Edit menu, that's it. It still doesn't provide an option for following the device's settings. I'm bringing this up for discussion in the Make your own themes thread.

I read through most of these posts, but is there any way to design your own signal and battery strength displays? All of the 8700 themes I see here use the same display for these items, maybe with different colors.

I downloaded the wave and overlord themes from rim, and these are Plazmic developed themes and each have unique signal and battery meters.

seturner and CanuckMakem, please direct those types of questions to the Create Your Own Blackberry Themes thread (link). This thread is intended only for complete themes. seturner, your question is already being discussed in that thread.

Canuck, I responded to your question in the other thread here: http://blackberryforums.com/showthre...266#post160266

These Plazmic themes will only work on devices with an operating system of 4.1 or better. There is no 4.1 released for the the 7250 as of yet. When it is, and you load the Plazmic reader along side the new theme of your choice will you be able to use them. Not before.

I have updated my theme to Bliss 2.0. Changes include:

- Enhanced legibility of text for certain areas, like the carrier name and title bars
- Wallpaper is now successfully incorporated into the theme
- Changed top bar from gray to cream/sand gradient to match a Luna look
- Dialog boxes, buttons, titlebars, and the like that were all 8700 style before are now Windows XP Luna style

- Known bugs: I'm still looking for a way to make it obey font size settings on the Blackberry.

I have started a page on my site for these themes, because I think I'm going to be making a few and it'll be easier for people to find them in one place rather than dig through this thread all the time.

Site: http://3xmk.com/techtalk/blackberry

isarib, I will attempt to make a version of this for 7100 series devices.

Odd, it did on my device and on my simulator. Is anyone else having trouble
with the wallpaper not being part of the theme?

Edit: I just compiled the theme again, the wallpaper is definitely getting included because the theme creator doesn't throw that error anymore. You may want to remove Bliss from your device and then install the new version. I think that's what I did on mine right before I got the wallpaper integrated.

Mine did not integrate but it does not matter I emailed the wallpaper you provided. And this theme looks good with anything you lay on it.

I love the Bliss theme. I had your original installed last night but ended up changing the opacity of the wallpaper to about 60% so it wasn't quite so overwhelming. I just installed your Bliss 2.0 and do see the cream/sand color change behind the carrier but I'm not seeing a change in the menu/dialogue boxes. Mine don't look like the ones in your screenshot. Mine still have that checkerboard look to them. No biggie but just odd that I'm not seeing that change. I think I like the screenshot ones better. Oh, and like Scotty T pointed out, the wallpaper is still not integrated. (this is fine with me since I changed the opacity on mine anyway.) Great job none the less. Can't wait to see more.

OK I think I fixed it. I had the wrong versions up on my server. Too many copies and versions of the files floating about. Oops..sorry!!!

pixelbrat, and everyone else that had the theme installed prior to now, please reinstall it either OTA or from my web site and you'll get the new version. Sorry about that!

7100 version of Bliss 2.0 coming soon.

I have created a Bliss for 7100 theme, available on my web site. Please let me know how it works, I don't have an actual 7100 to test it on.

Get it here: http://3xmk.com/techtalk/blackberry

mrogers,

Is it possible that you'd make your Bliss theme available for the 8700?

No, the 7100 is available OTA too. Look: http://bb.3xmk.com/themes Check that on your PC. If that's not what you see on your BB, click the trackwheel and select refresh.

OK, the Bliss for 8700 theme is up! It was a little tricky to figure out what to do with the signal and battery meter area, but I think it turned out all right. Of course, I don't have a real 8700 to test it on so someone please load it up and provide me some feedback, let me know if I need to change anything.

I have to say a big thanks to you all MRogers and SRL for the time you have put in to create these themes. Keep them coming if you have time... I love them

I love my BB7290 even more. You guys rock for taking the time to do these. My faves are Above Earth by SRL7741 and Bliss by MROGERS, great job to you all.
