Unhappy penguin theme plz - 01-10-2007, 08:01 AM

Have a couple of pictures that I've tried and tried to get to work and for what ever reason the theme builder keeps telling me that they are too big. If anyone can work with these and make them useable, I'll make a $5 donation. Thanks

Theme builder automatically converts jpgs into pngs. You need to save the picture as a png and play around with the png options until it's small enough. Often you have to save it with only 256 colors.

Sorry Silentone, it's 7130e through Verizon! I have tons of pictures, but if you find something from another source, March of the penguins, Happy Feet etc that would work too. Thanks

I've tried working with the colors and still I have the same error message, once in a great while I get lucky and I do have one theme, but for the most part it just maybe that the program I use isn't what I need, so if I can use someone to at least size the pics for me I can work it from there and customize colors and such. But if it takes donating a little to get it done then so be it. But thank you for the response, I have a limited amount of patience especially when I do get something to work and then can't replicate it....... Very frustrating, so it was time to reach out...

Hi all, I hope your having a good evening or good morning. I am fairly new to having a BB. I am learning something new everyday. I am looking for a Theme for my 8700c that is girly and instead of Icons the theme has list in pleace of the icons. I would love to find 1 or more themes like that. Could someone help me out? srl7741 or seattle: after 2 days of searching of searching these bloody threads I kind of found what I was looking for. However, I may have missed this and my frustration has FORCED me into posting this request, my apologies for my absent intellect …

At your mobile41 site you have themes posted by cp6169. The icons on the themes are “transparent.” I am only working with Paint (as an editor) and creating themes with Plazmic. Resizing images are not an issue using a couple of different programs. I REALLY want to get these icons in Plazmic transparent (like cp’s golf & aquarium ect) .

Can I do this in MS Paint?!? Or am I exercising an effort of futility?!? I thought somewhere in this bloody thread there were instructions and I’ve spent two days looking and just missing it.

Srl if you or anyone can point me in the right direction or repost those instructions for transparent icon it would be greatly appreciated. I will be posting screen shots and wall paper shortly. Thanks in advance …

The post i made on the icons i think is here http://www.blackberryforums.com/ring...ht=icon+themes

I have also posted sets of icons inside that thread. If you can't find those you may also try www.mobile41.com/theme_tools I posted a few sets of icons there also.

As for the iPhone theme(s).

try this link: www.mobile41.com/Themes look in the Mac section.

Srl: Thanks for the rapid reply. I have seen the transparent icons for the 8700 on your mobile41 site (I was referring to cp616’s link at the mobile41 site where the golf and aquatic themes have transparent icons) . I am using Plazmic as my other addiction (lol -theme creator), I have 2 sources for resizing images all of which are working out GREAT! However my challenge is getting the images in Plazmic transparent. Can this be done in MS Paint? If so can anyone tell me how, I am definitely missing something.

I am saving the files as png file (paint allows for that option). I read that if you uncheck the opaque default option this is suppose to allow for transparent images. However, after the pgn file is save and loaded into Plazmic the plastic does not show the image as transparent. In further thought the icon might be transparent and not reflected as such in the Plazmic display. How can I verify that an icon is truly transparent?

I'm apologizing to the board for this second post so quick. I want to clarify what I am calling transparent. The icons appear somewhat transparent until you scroll over them. Once the icons are highlighted their full image and colours appear. Hope this explanation helps – I was starting to confuse myself.
