I consider myself sort of knowledgable when it comes to this device. BUT...it is making a fool of me. I figured out that you can upload mp3s to the BB and have done so. I have been using these songs as ringtones and alerts for weeks. Then a couple days ago They simply stopped playing. At first when the phone would ring nothing played then it defaulted to the main verizon ringer. Regardless the mp3s are still on the phone and I can't get them to play even right when I upload them and use the audio player. Help???

Sidenote...I tried installing a theme with the theme installer and the theme worked but I thought maybe that had something to do with the mp3's not working. I uninstaled the themes and still no audio from the mp3's.

Also...the tunes that came preloaded by verizon are still working....thanks!!!

Have you installed the latest firmware? Before 4.1.0.268 my mp3s only played for a few days before stopping. Then I had to removed the battery to make them work again. Since the upgrade mp3s have worked flawlessly.
