I should be able to easily get most of this past Fall season's shows on through all of the current Spring season shows. Since I'm an avid TV watcher, I'll work mainly on the ones that are currently out that I watch, since I already download theme each night anyhow.
Any other requests, please make them here and I'll see what I can do, time permitting.

* Note: Direct URLs will be in the format of www.twoeighteighty.com/ringtones/tv/current/title_name/title_name.mp3 in case you want to do that method. I will work on a 'BlackBerry-friendly' layout/template, as well. In the meantime, enjoy these.

Nice tones but be sure to run them thru a high pass filter before you save them. This will decrease the distortion and make them more friendy for the speaker on the 8700. Makes the tone much more crisp and less raspy due to low tones in the music.

Sex and the City. If you need the mp3 and are unable to get a copy, I'll be glad to shell out 99 cents on iTunes and send it to you!

will do. that's the one thing i honestly dislike about having nice monitors here in the 'studio' and no 8700 to play with (for another 2 wks) - distortion is not really an issue. heh.

Hi!
Is there anyway to get the JAG ringtone? Not the first version (It had words in the beginning) But the later season's theme song (strictly instrumental)
Let me know if I can help in anyway.
Thank you so much Jibi!

How about the Peanut Butter Jelly Time song that was on Family Guy? The videos are rampant but I can't seem to find the mp3.
EDIT: I made it myself off of the Family Guy clip, not the original mp3 though. If anyone wants it, I have it!

nope. i only put up two, although i'm compiling all of these (the ones listed above are the one's i've clipped into WAV format). what are you exact steps taken to create the mp3s w/ high pass filter and whatnot. i just downloaded Audacity (i hate it), but i also have Sound Forge (8.0; doesn't allow 32kHz sample rate), Audition (2.0), and pretty much any other audio editor available.

I use audacity. Go to preferences and click on quality. Set the sample rate to 44100hz and the bit rate to 32 bit float. Make your clip and then highlight the entire clip and go to effect and hit high pass filter. After you do this split the track into 2 mono tones and then save them as mp3. Its that simple.

cool. i'll put all of the ones listed above online tomorrow from work. i'll have to work on clipping them down to size, though. that should be loads of fun, considering some of these theme songs are upwards of 1.5 mins long or more!

Is this the same thing as the FFT filter on a Mac? There's no "high pass filter" option under effects for the Mac version.
Sorry if it's a newb dope question. I've been messing w/ Audacity all day and have made a bunch of ringtones, but haven't tested them out yet. Figured I'd run them through this "high pass filter" suggestion, lol. Thanks.

Thank you Jibi!
This is so awesome that your going to be able to get these ringtones.
Okay, last requests - I don't want to clog it up with all my favorite shows. Ha Ha.
- NCIS
- Without a Trace
Those are the only ones I will ask for now Thank you so much again!

grabbing both of those now. hopefully i'll have some time today to convert and put everything online. we've got a fairly huge systems migration going on this week that i'm involved with, so my spare time may be limited.

All ringtones listed above have been uploaded (and the list has been updated with additions), in full mp3 format. If someone has some issues with it being too big to load, just reply back and i'll clip them a bit. I believe people have had mixed reports concerning mp3 ringtones and the various carriers and browsers and whatnot, so I'll leave them as is w/o editing for now. Currently, they are saved as 32kHz (sample rate) / 56kbps (bit rate) / Mono (single channel; based on 50/50 right-left) - this may be adjusted depending on any sort of feedback (time permitting).
As I said, as the week goes on, I'll continue to add new ringtones from episodes that are this week. I'm also looking at my 'watch list' to make sure that I'm grabbing everything that I watch personally (yes, I watch pretty much everything on the list above - *sigh*).

Jibi, Thank you so much!
I am absolutely estatic about being able to have the theme songs to my favorite shows.
Okay, I promise this time - last one - Do you think as dorky as this sounds, it would be possible to get one for "The Nanny"? (the Sitcom)

unfortunately, i'm limited to the big network stations (ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX) and various cable and premium stations (FX, HBO, Showtime, etc). TLC usually doesn't make that list for their shows.
however, here's the original version (although i'm not sure if its the one they use in the show - never seen it):
http://www.mityma.com/music/music_library/gasoline.mp3
it appears there is a season premiere (?) tomorrow night, so i will see if someone rips the episode afterward.

You rock! I, too, have a serious thing for Lorelai. But I fear that in a few years Lauren Graham's jowls will hang even further or she'll end up an unfortunate Hollywood dragonlady. For now, it's all good.

they dont play much of it in the show but that is the same version, you should check it out sometime. Chip Foose is the modern day Carroll Shelby or the "Michael Jordan" of car building.

i'm going to work on those at some point sooner or later. they require a bit more work due to the clipping and cutting required to get it down to a 12-15 second length.
