Default Old BB sounds on new devices? - 05-15-2006, 10:30 AM

I miss some of my old monophonic sounds on my new 8700. Anywhere to find the old Blackberry 1-6 sounds? Mostly I want the #5 which is just two quite beeps which I found a good notification of a new mail but not intrusive. Guess I could record them and make mp3's but seems like a lot of work.

Here's an MP3 file with two relatively unobtrusive tones: www.davidenglish.com/wml/twotones.mp3. I don't have an 8700 to test this, so it may not work on a BlackBerry.

Good idea...I myself have this problem

Can you restore them to the new from an old backup file? I believe they are in content store.

Worked for me, too. I'd also kill for some original 7290 tones. I'm not into all the musical stuff. Thanks for posting.
