Default Any way to sync images for wallpaper? - 05-17-2006, 02:19 PM

I just upgraded my 7130eto the latest 4.1 with the Zen theme and now I would like to put a picture of my kids on my BB as the wallpaper. Unfortunately my company email does not allow images as attachments so I'm stuck as to how I can get images on my device.

I could use coolservice.dk but it has a maximum size of 512kb and I want to play around with some larger image sizes before I decide on a final one. I could also use something like flikr or some other service (or even my own website) but that would mean uploading images then browsing on my blackberry.

Is there no way to use IntelliSync to get image files onto the BB. I've noticed there is a third-party add-on section for IntelliSync. I was hoping thee was some way to sync a folder on my desktop or something similiar.

Ascendo and GT Photo allow you to sync up photos using the USB cable.

just curious, but how would you be able to create a 240x260 image (this is VERY small) and it be over 512KB? secondly, even if you were to upload something to a service that only does 512KB, that is all that can be handled by the BlackBerry Browser (carrier; BES defaults to 128KB or 256KB, if I remember correctly).

lastly, you could always try to MMS the image to your phone - same method as sending a text/SMS message except add the image to it.

In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and is widely regarded as a bad move.

Well, I didn't realize the size restrictions. I just started playing around with Ascendo Photo and it seems to do what I want it to do.

Now I just have to figure out how to change the background on my theme.

Well, I have un into a small issue. The Ascendo Photo program doesn't put the images in the same place as normal images (at least in the trial mode it doesn't) so I can't set an image uploaded that way as the desktop background.

I guess I'll have to manually re-size the images to the proper sie and use coolservice to upload them.
