Meh!

I've bought a blackberry 8700G on t-mobile UK. - I want to be able to have custom mp3 ringtones on it. - I dont pay for the APN for it, so i belive it has no data connectvity.


i have 7 days to evaluate this device, before its too late to send it back.

is there any hope?

T-mobile havent got a clue.

No data plan = no custom ringtones.

But I don't think it's much help for the 8700x series.

Actually, I think someone has discovered a way to do this. I haven't tried it and it may be more trouble that its worth but check out This Thread . There is a simulator for the 8700 that can be downloaded from the Blackberry site.

Yes, with these old eyes I didn't recognize the link and try it, just knew that thread was still on my first page. Way down but still there. Pasted it in before I actually read yours, and wasn't going to waste the effort
