when i try to download a ringtone i get the message "the page you are trying to load is not supported by the browser. please try loading a different page." http error 406. not acceptable whats up wit that?

what BB do are you using? What type of ringtone are you trying to download? Which Browser are you using? If the ringtone is compatible with your BB, then you are probably trying to download it using the WAP browser. You should use the Internet Browser.

i have the same problem (406 error) trying to access .mp3 files from my googlepage. blackberrylive.googlepages.com

but.....

when i use yahoo briefcase it works fine.

so....

i would guess it has something to do with the site hosting the .mp3 files.


downloading images from googlepages works fine, its just the .mp3s that hiccup the BB. not sure why and i would LOVE if someone could tell me.

Here's my situation, and I hope there is a way for me to get ringtones on my 7250.

I understand only MID ringtones would work, however, our corporate "Overlord" has disabled our WAP browser. Is there any way to somehow get the MID ringtones to the BB without brosing to a site with the BB?

Ideas?
