How can I properly setup the zen theme on my blackberry. I've gone through the method of actually downloading the multilanguage T-Mobile "BHARTI" OS several times. Which works. But out of the box the T-Mobile 8700G should be able to just have the blackberry.alx file edited according to jibi. My question is..I usually notice that a certain folder is missing and their is no "blackberry.alx" file out of the box. But when I install the BHARTI OS and do the whole re-install method the folder is there. I'm just a little confused on what I should do initially out of the box for the 8700G. I have done the full erase applications and everything (not through javaloader) but through the Desktop Manager. I'm lost when I shouldn't be. but help!!!

I had similar problems getting my zen working, my big mistake was looking in the wrong folder, after you install the new version of the dtm, open the file before synching and edit the alx file under prog/shared/rim. I was not looking in my shared folder. blackberrycool has some great steps as well as this forum, hope this helps, zen is the best theme for the 8700, and so far has been better on my battery than the classics(could just be me)

well i just tried a different way and it worked. I basically forced the upgrade by just installing the OS from T-mobile. Then I extracted the "pre-edited" blackberry.alx folder to the new "Shared" folder that only was created because I installed that T-Mobile BHARTI OS. and then renamed blackberry.alx currently in there to blackberery.alx.old, deleted the Vendor.xml and then when i opened desktop manager it automatically asked me to update the core applications and then BOOM! ZEN THEME IN YA FACE LIKE MACE!

note: there's a newer version of desktop manager? floating around on the net? newer than the CD that came with the 8700G?
