Question MP3 or Wav playback on 7130e - 07-21-2006, 11:00 PM

Ok I a new to the Blackberry world so bear with me. I have a 7130e. I've uploaded a WAV file I'd like on my BB but as I surf to it from my device I get an error saying my browser does not support this type of file. Can I either:

A. download a driver or program for my BB that would allow playback of WAV or MP3 files (especially as ringtones)?

or

B. Convert this .wav file to some other type that I would be able to play back?

Thanks in advance for the help!

I am not positive about the 7130, but I thought it accepted both wav and mp3 like the 8700. Make sure you're using the Internet Browser and not the WAP browser.

Hope this helps.

Ok you are right, MP3s work. I was trying a .wav file. Thanks for the tip. Guess thats why there's a lack of topics about MP3s for the 7130.

Were you able to get a .wav file to play on your 7130e? I receive voice mail messages as e-mailed .wav files and have never been able to open and listen to them. If anyone can assist me in making this happen, I will be eternally grateful.

The .wav files are also memory space hogs. A 4 minute song can run 30 MB very easily.
