Default Futurama "you've got mail" ringtone - 10-09-2006, 03:08 PM

I dunno if anyone has it in mp3 format, I used to have this tone for my email/sms messages on my 7100, but I lost it when I upgraded to the 8100. It's the tone where it says "You've got mail, it's not spam!". Tried searching, but all I could find here was the AOL one. I dl'd some from the web, but sounds distorted when played on my phone.

v12spd was kind enough to email this to me. It's a classic! I use it for my Loud Profile only (i.e. when I'm outside). I'm not sure that it would be welcome in my office... they tolerate my email 'sonar'.
FYI this file is so loud that I have it set to medium volume.

Sonar is included on the 8700 (and probably other Blackberries too):

New to the whole bb thing, I know that you have to download the ringtones. How do you create on from an mp3? is there certain attributes that the mp3 has to have and info would be appreciated.

Any MP3 of reasonable length should work. I have some songs that I use as ringtones and I create a 30 second edit of the opening of the song; that's long enough. Create MP3s from CDs with Windows Media Player. There are various shareware MP3 editing solutions that you can search for on the Web; many allow you to do a few edits free before you have to pay...

Put the MP3 on a web site so that you can browse to it with the Blackberry Internet Browser (not the WAP Browser). Yahoo Briefcase works. Or just email it to your Yahoo or Gmail account. Then when you browse to the attachment link and select it with your Blackberry Browser, it will open an MP3 player in the Browser to play it. Scroll to the right (the Pause icon), and click to Save. It is then available as a tune to be selected under your Profiles.

I know this may be a bit late at the moment.
Was wondering if anyone had the notifier.sonar file available as a mp3 or avi.
If you could pm me, i will send my email address.
Any help would be apreciated.
i am trying to get the notifier_sonar off my blackberry to put it onto the misses nokia 6680 just to annoy her.
