Default Zen theme on blackberry, can't access - 10-23-2006, 03:03 PM

tried searching this, I have the latest OS (4.1) on my BB and in applications I have BB dimension-Zen 4.1.0.347 listed. How do I get it to work as my theme. Tried searching but it only says how load the new OS and and I have no files in RIM with a .ALX extension to modify with "vendor codes"

On your PC go to c:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files

Once there click on the folder that is the newest software that you installed onto the BB, in that folder you'll find the BlackBerry.alx file.

Once you find that follow the directions on how to modify this to unlock Zen.

Have you actually installed the OS. Double clicked the OS file?

Yes, My Blackberry has an OS and I believe it is 4.1 based on the installed app folder on the unit (where can I find the Help about screen?). Attached is what the folders on my pc show.

Did you download a NEW OS? The only way that you'll receive the shared files are if you personally downloaded the new os and install it yourself. If you are using the OS that came on your BB this isn't going to work if it's not a new enough version. You can't just download the theme withough having the proper os. You said you have the latest OS, what version is it? 4.1.????
