link to ringtones with link -
10-02-2006, 01:00 PM
If i to this link, how to I get the ringtone into my phone? If I link to that website over the phone, how do I then unzip over the phone? I tried to download the ringer I like, but I can't import it into the phone. it's the one that says ring - normal ring. This is for a 7130e. Thanks!!

The 7250 supports monophonic MIDI ringtones, though some polyphonic MIDI ringtones may work if the melody is placed on the correct track. You visit websites with your BlackBerry and download them directly to the device. You should be able to audition the ringtones from within the browser. That way, you'll be able to hear how they will sound on your BlackBerry.
Here's one site you can try: MIDIsite - MIDI Search Engine. It will be mostly trial and error as to which ones will sound good or which ones will work at all.
If you're looking for non-musical ringtones (especially louder ones), visit http://davidenglish.com/wml/index.wml with your BlackBerry and choose "Non-Musical MIDI Ringtones."

When I download an MP3, I can only save the page to my messages. It doesn't let me save it anywhere else.

BB 7520 tones on an 8700? -
10-23-2006, 09:11 PM
Im fixed in my ways. Ive just recently upgraded to an 8703, but im not happy with the cheesy polymophic sounds. I long for the standard 7250 ringtones. Is there someplace I can download the normal tones from the older model for the new device?
Lets hope!

In addition to the MIDIsite - MIDI Search Engine mentioned previously, you could try RIM's BlackBerry site: BlackBerry HELP!. You'll find a small collection of MIDI ringtones there.

tmobile ringtone -
11-04-2006, 11:28 PM
This is a basic request and I have searched for this in multiple ways.
I am looking for the T Mobile standrad proprietary ringtone. I want to use it on my Verizon phone as I cannot stand Verizon any more.
Does any one have a way to send me the standard T Mobile ringtone?
I need it for a Verizon Razr and a Cingular BB 8700.
Please send me reply and I will get you the numbers to send to.

Try visiting http://mobile.blackberry[.]com with your 7250. (Be sure to remove the "[" and "]" ) It has 20 ringtones you should be able to use.

Just set up profile exceptions for each caller. Thats what I did works great. I have 1800+ numbers but I have 6 levels of people that call me. 95% fall into the default ringtone, work team members in to another, family into another, wife and kids have their own level. Real easy that way

and it says you get software to convert and upload tones to d/l to your phone also....

Okay, so I just got my BlackBerry and so far I'm doing fairly well understanding it seeing as I had...an old Samsung two days ago.
Haha, alright so I'm trying to figure out this ringtone thing, and I emailed myself an mp3 file and tried to open it through my email on the BB and it doesn't have a link to open the attachment? Is there something I need to enable with the browser or what's going on there?
So then anyway, I went to try luckyluciano's site and it loaded fine, and I went to open an mp3 file and it gave me the option of midi, or mmd? something like that, and I tried to open them both but one said there was an error and the other said that the player couldn't open the file...
Any explanation/help would be appreciated

OK, Found one "midi" site but the quality was , well, not good at all.
"ccir.ed.ac.uk/~jad/ringtone.html"
Has anyone found another Midi site - CTI 24 ring - for the bb 7250 ?
....Am I correct in thinking the 7250 will only download MIDI files ?
Thanks eh !

Please share with me where I can download this simple chime that is seemingly impossible to find. THANK YOU!

Quangtri78, thanx for the link. Some nice tones. Does anyone here produce their own ringtones like me? I'm starting to build a community of ringtone producers and would like producers to join my ringtone producer site to share your creations and get feedback. Check out Ringtone-Producer.com.
