Is there any way to make, or create, louder ringtones for the BB 7520? The speaker handles much louder input as indicated by some of the included ringtones that come with the 7520, but everything I seem to download is incredibly low, even though I have the sound set to loudest on the 7520.

HELP???

Thanks,
Rick

Default Offering MP3 ringtones - Work on BB 8700 - 05-22-2006, 07:10 PM

Here I would like to offer some MP3 ringtones that I created for my LG VX8100 cell phone. I tested these on my Blackberry 8700g and they have good volume. I use my BB for data only, so I only need tones for this phone for alerts and email.

I'm sure most of you know to point your BB browser to the links below to directly listen and/or download.

Since these are hosted on a Geocities website, there are limitations to downloads due to bandwith.

Be patient and keep trying.

I do have others to share, mostly latin music.

Good Luck and Enjoy.

Default 7130e Ringtones - 05-24-2006, 02:45 PM

Just got my new BB and am very disappointed with the ringtones. Trying to figure out how to get new ones. I am tech challenged but would love a tone of Brave Scotland, any bagpipes,Danny Boy, Sweet Home Alabama, or Midnight Train to Geogra. Thanks

I've also had trouble with the volume levels on my ringtones, but you can louden it if you have proper audio editing software like Cool Edit or Sound Forge before converting it to adp format for Blackberry.

Angry 7130e Ringtone Question - 06-01-2006, 02:41 PM

So i went to http://www.adamdaley.com/wap/soundfx/Notify.adp with my phones browser and when I click to get the sound it says the Browser does not support this type of file..
Am i doing something wrong here, does the 7130e not support .adp files like the 7100g did?

Thanks,
T.

Trust your BlackBerry. It told you it didn't like ADPs. It doesn't. It supports mp3 and midi files.

The 7520 only handles mid ringtones...and none of them posted out there are loud enough for me. I'm wondering if anyone has any idea of what can be used to increase the volume on these tones?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cool Suggestion for an mp3 encoder. - 06-06-2006, 04:59 PM

You can use the freeware program LameXP to encode your own mp3 ringtones. Just make sure you keep the bit rate and file size etc. in mind when you're doing so.

You can find it here:
http://www.free-codecs.com/download/LameXP.htm

That being said, anyone got a WAP site where I can upload my rather extensive collection of mp3 encoded sound clips for the rest of the blackberry community to enjoy? I'm working on building a page with a table/explanation for them since the file names aren't very descriptive but it isn't very WAP friendly.

(Currently they're all at http://loux.org/bb/mp3 as just a directory listing. Some of them contain adult language so please us appropriate discretion when playing them. Most of them are very short clips that I use for various message and alarm alerts.)

The 7130 does not support ADP format.

The 7100 does.

7130 and 8700 series devices support MP3s as well.

7100, 7100i, 7130 and 8700 series devices all support polyphonic midi ringtones.

Using an HTML capable BlackBerry device browser (NOT the WAP browser), go to http://mobile.blackberry.com and select the Extras link. Then select Ringtones. Depending upon what device you have, a series of ringtones will be displayed. The site was recently updated with 10 new tunes in mp3 format for 7130 and 8700 series devices.

For louder MIDI ringtones, visit http://tones.jimvaughan.com with your BlackBerry. Also, visit http://davidenglish.com/wml/index.wml with your BlackBerry and choose "Non-Musical MIDI Ringtones."

They are as loud as MIDI ringtones will go on a 7200- or 7500-series BlackBerry.

Unhappy Can anyone help? - 06-12-2006, 05:54 AM

I have read through most of the ringtone related forums for most of the BB models, however.......i have an mp3 tone that is from an album recorder by a friend (so it won't be available anywhere else on the web in any other format) and i want it on my 7100v as a ringtone. i have downloaded multitudinous conversion software, but to no avail, i cannot get the file to a good length and in the right format......can anyone help?

I have a new MP3 website. Everyone enjoy. I just made this site. Let me know if anyone needs any other mp3. Got a lot more. Some of the ringers have explicit language. These are not for the sensitive.

Default Looking for Queen "Bicycle Race" - 06-20-2006, 06:16 AM

Earlier in the year, I found a site that had Queen's Bicycle Race as an MP3 ringtone that I downloaded to my 7130e. I had to replace my phone, and was not able to find the ringtone so that I could download it to my new 7130e. I've tried using the search features, and went to the Jrock2004 site, but my blackberry would not go to the page to load the ringtone from the Jrock2004 site.

Would someone help me out with a link to this phenomenal ringtone?

Thanks.
