I know they may be odd and you may ask why but ive had my 7290 for 4 years and im used to those ring tones, very easy to distinguish for me and i was wondering if there is a way to import or if those old 72xx ringtones are on the net so i can donwload to my 8700c ???

As far as I know, there's no way to extract the built-in ringtones from a 7290. Your best bet would be to find other ringtones for your 8700c that have a similar sound.

David thanks for the reply.. your right i have looked high and low and tried to figure out a way to extract it from content protection but no luck... only thing i can think of is play it in front of a comp mic and convert it after some filtering but im sure the quality would not be that great... oh well

jetz...I just upgraded to an 8700 and I think the ringtones REALLY suck. I'm with you - just give me my old suttle "beep" back. Does anybody know where a fella can download some simple ringtones? I think playing tacky music on your phone is silly>sheldon49953
