Default MS XP Outlook New Mail Notify Sound - 01-04-2007, 11:49 PM

I've spent days searching for the standard MS XP Outlook sound notify.wav. I have an 8703e and even tried to gmail myself the notify.wav and .mp3 but when it opens - No Sound!
Please share with me where I can download this simple chime that is seemingly impossible to find. THANK YOU!

you might try hosting the file on a website and downloading it from the Browser. Maybe that will work?

Talking Outlook Notification Sound - 06-03-2007, 09:24 AM

You can find the actual .WAV file on your computer by going to (In Windows XP):

C:\Windows\Media

the one you are looking for is called "Windows XP Notify.wav"

Assuming your BlackBerry has a media card installed, connect your phone via USB to your PC and open up the drive it shows up on in "My Computer". Then copy this file to your \BlackBerry\ringtones folder. Unplug your phone, and you should be able to set the ringtone/message alert sound!

Brilliant! Now I have the XP Notify set for BES Email and the Vista Notifier set for BIS Email. Works great! Thanks.
