Supermediastore is a reliable merchant. I've bought one or two things from them (one of which was an SD card) with no problems at all. Pretty good ratings on resellerratings.com: Supermediastore ratings. There's always a few crackpots on there affecting the rating, but considering most satisfied people don't post, it's a great rating- and I am not affiliated in any way with Supermediastore.

Since the Curve (unlike the original 8100 Pearl, which was Micro SD, only, AFAIK) fully supports Micro SDHC (in addition to the previous Micro SD), you should also look at Micro SDHC cards for your Curve(s). Right now, the largest I've seen is the 4GB Micro SDHC card from SanDisk. I have one of those 4GB cards in my Curve. Work bought it for me, and it was $70, but I believe you can find them for less now.

Theoretically, since the Curve supports Micros SDHC, and that format goes up to 32GB, the curve should be able to address cards that have 32GB capacity. WE just need to wait for such capacities to be released.

Im interested in getting a card but i dont want to buy the 2 gig and then the 4 gig gets a huge price cut. I'd rather wait a few weeks. I just recently bought a 8320 im completely new to the Blackberry world, i knew there was a following but i didn't know it was this big. I was also wondering, how fast will the capacities increase. If its similar to the way hard drives have increased, where in for huge amounts of storage in a short period of time.

Everything tech is that way. Once you buy it there will be something else, and the price of the old will go down. I paid $75 for the 1GB when it came out, and I paid $65 when the 4Gb came out. The 4Gb's are around $45 now so I say go for it. Will they come down in price? Yes, but there's a lot to be said for having the product you need when you need it. The 4Gb will come down in price when the 6Gb and 8Gb hit the market and start dropping as well....then you'll be wanting the 6 or 8.

Supposedly the 8320 can only take upto a 4GB though

Thumbs up Supports Cards and Devices - 10-09-2007, 02:50 PM

According to the Blackberry's Technical Solution Center, there is support for microSD cards that is up to 8GB in size. It applies to 8100, 8300 and 8800 series with Blackberry Device Software running 4.3 or later.

The document can be found at KB05461

I ponder at times at how I can be a AT&T customer for over 15 years...

The VZW corporate store that I work in just got 6gb micro sd's in stock yesterday. They run $99.99, so if you have a corporate discount that includes an accessory discount, or are a Merits customer, you get it for $75.00. Not a bad deal. I will probably pick one up myself, as I was about to get a 4gig.

Good luck with the 6Gb cards. They aren't working too well yet.

As long as I don't use the BlackBerry to format the card it seems to be working just fine. USB mass storage mode works just fine as well. I've got 3GB of videos on there so far.

I got all excited about that deal at CompUSA but then I realized they don't exist in Washington state anymore, and the card isn't microSD. Oh well..

Yeah, sorry about that. I used to be a tech guru and it just goes to show you what being out of the loop for a year or two can do. I actually bought it for my new Curve and luckily just realized the mistake I made.

They do have a 2gb micro card on sale, which is probably what I'm going to get until the 6gb cards start working.
