Your profile says you have an 8700. You can not load ringtones via the USB cable onto an 8700. You upload them to a web site, and then download it via the web browser.

I'm kind of in the same boat. What type of website do you load them on? Is there a photobucket equivalent for ringtones?

Personally I just want a regular ringtone. Not a song or anything like that. Just a nice regular ring and not the preloaded junk on the 8703

Try coolservice.dk

I would also suggest reading the Sticky Thread FAQs at the top of this forum, as this has been asked (and answered) many, many times.

Actually the method described here, although complicated, works beautifully for me, not only for ringtones but wallpapers too. It still require somewhere to host, but you won't eat up a data plan.
