Talking Loading Themes on OSX - Wat is wrong with me - 04-01-2007, 02:52 PM

So basically, I have a nice happy Theme .alx file, and I am trying to load it onto my 8100 via Pocketmac, (Yes, another hopeless mac question). But No Luck. It behaves as it intalled just fine, and I can see in on the uninstall list, but if I try to uninstall, it is still there. Anyhow, my theme does not show up in my themes list. After all my reaserch I have a couple questions for all you incredibly smart ppl. (I can install other themes via OTA just fine, and I can install apps from my mac fine too)

#1 - There appears to be a 'theme reader' app out there for PC, Do I need to 'covert' this .alx file at all to make it be a theme?

#2 - Why does my life have to be so rough?

PS - I have tried to remove any extra themes off my BB as suggested by another poster, still no luck.

PPS - I can run VPC on my mac, it is like a half PC, but slow as mollasses and for some reason when I connect BB and try to run Desktop manager, It cannot see the USB connection. BUT, I am able to perform rudimentary PC functions, If that will help. I.E. File coversion, run some crappy PC app on theme file maybe.

I haven't heard of anyone having success using PocketMac v4 to install a theme. Themes should install just like regular software.

Re. #1: the Plazmic theme reader is pre-installed on the Pearl 8100, but not on older OS 4.1 devices.

Re. #2: all I can suggest is an OTA download, or to borrow a friend's PC temporarily...
