Default problem with BBweather - 04-02-2007, 08:26 AM

ive tried two or three times to dl, and install bbweather0.74 on my 8100, and each time (and from each location i DL it from) i get an error about location.

is there a particular way around this, or some prior settings i need to inact before i install?

or better yet, is there a program with less errors out there that is comparable?

thanks for thr help.

l0rdN3R0, go get BBWeather v0.75 from this link, this is the desktop install package... using application loader from your Desktop Manager.

You must also set up the TCP APN properly and turn off the MDS proxy. They are lots and lots of threads with details on BBWeather. It works just fine.

Same APN. There is only one per carrier.

Start BBWeather. Hit the Pearl twice - do not hit the menu key. It will tell you you have no profiles. Click on options. Add a profile (Zip code and location). Make sure that Disable MDS Proxy is checked. Save your work.

thats the thing: as soon as i start bbweather, it tells me i dont have profiles. i dont have a chance to hit the menu key.

and by profiles, i assume it means the 4 letter 4 number key, correct?
