Do you have a data plan?

I have tried that too and I have the data plan...I think it's just T-Mobiles website. I have made it to the T-zones but apparently the things games, ringtones, etc are only accessible from a non-blackberry phone.

sounds like you may need to configure your browser.


Go to Settings>Advanced Options>TCP

APN is wap.voicestream.com

username blank, password blank

i have the TCP set and tzones still doesnt accept my pearl for what it is... :'(

yeah i work for tmobile and weve had that problem before.. configuring the settings should have done it!

From what I understand of it, if I use my daughters t-mobile motorola phone(non BB) you can access the t-zones but not from BB itself except to check your account. When I purchased my BB 7105t the personnel from tmobile said that you can get internet access but not tzones.

I have an 8100 and can access T-Zones with no issues.

I have a Pearl and I can access T-Zone just fine.

(My 8100: v4.2.166; Platform 2.3.0.57 ~ latest upgrade/TIM)

I can access tzones, but what I was referring to is you can't download games, etc with the blackberry. On my 7105t but not on Pearl in the browser bookmarks it has a link to downloads for the blackberry on tmo site

Ok - I am considering purchasing a Pearl (8100) from T-Mobile, but I have heard that it wont work with T-MobilWeb, formerly known as T-Zones.

It sounds like your experience is contrary to what ive heard... and I trust experience more than rumor!

So how how did you get it to work? Settings on the unit? Schmooze T-Mobile customer care rep?

I'm not looking to surf the web etc... not really... just use the T-Zone features to look up local business phone numbers and movie times - im able to do this now with my crappy Samsung 619 and $5.99 T-MobileWeb service.
