Default New YT Video Workflow for 8100,8300,8800

I am not going to post this all over this forum. USERS PLEASE SPEAK UP HERE IF YOU WANT A MEDIA FORUM, I DO.

If you have one of these devices, download the new Desktop Manager 4.2 SP 2 with Roxio.

Install it and get familiar with it. It's a 231mb DL so be patient.

Now to convert any You Tube video or other video to .mp4, avi, mov or wma, use this free program.

SUPER © .

The settings for this can be found by left clicking in the program area. Select your output folder. Configure your Roxio to watch that folder.
After you encode to that folder you can select Copy Down in Roxio and it will convert that file on the fly and put it on your SD card.

Really easy.

I just did it with this interesting YT video.

I think a media forum is great idea considering that seems to be the direction of all new devices.

what settings did you use on super c? when i choose the options myself (which i think are the right ones according to the faq) they don't work. when you use super c and do the convert in media manager whats the use of encoding the video twice?

should i just use roxio to do all the encoding then?

IMHO the Media Forum should be split into different subforums e.g.

Blackberry 7XXX

Blackberry 8100

just to provide better search and differ the informations.

Where do I get the SP2 version. I am new to the pearl just got her last week as a warrenty replacement from a 7105.Havent been able to find any videos to watch with it yet. Still learning. What is Roxio?

The Model has nothing to do with the video functionality. It's all OS driven. If you feel strongly about this please post is site suggestions. To me what does made some sense is dividing up videos, ringtones, backgrounds etc.
