Right click "my computer" then click "manage"
On the right double click "services and applications"
then double click "services"
Scroll down till you see "roxiamediaDB9"
right click it click "properties"
change statup type to "automatic' and click the start button.

Now go use media manager. works like a dream for me now.

I confirm this worked for me the first time. I did not try any other solutions.

I tried doing all of the above but the issue still occurs to me. Any help please?

I'm running on Windows XP and the Curve 8900.

Default Blackberry MediaManager

If you are having problems with mediamanager9.exe
Uninstall it plus unistall Roxio creator if installed.
Now got to Blackberry web site
type in google - blackberry media manager download,
download version 5
don't plug phone into computer untill fully installed.
Download about 260MB.
Once installed reinstall Roxio Creator.
Tried with version 4.7 and below but no success.

Fot use the blackberry media sync I use the shortcut but I open it also with administrative privileges.

I'd try reinstalling it...happened here before. I found Firewall to be in a way sometimes actually.
