When I click on Media Manager in my desktop manager, Roxio loads up, then all of a sudden this message will pop up "Runtime Error! Program C:\program files\roxio\media manager 9\mediamanager9.exe This application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information".
Any idea what to do? I've reinstalled once already. Same error.

Media Manager 9 Application Error -
02-08-2008, 09:37 PM
I have a new Blackberry 8130 and everthing in the Desktop Manager works great except the Media Manager. When I try to get to it it gives me the following message: Mediamanager9.exe-Application Error. The instruction at "0x601081e7" referenced memory at "0x02fcffd8". The memory could not read. I have tried to find information on the cause of this, but with no luck. If anyone could help me I would be greatful.
That is the one I am using now. I have used the one that came on the CD and also tried the download from Blackberry and they both give me the same message. I don't know if there is something wrong with my computer or not, but all my other programs work okay. Maybe I have a setting wrong somewhere.

FOUND THE SOLUTION! I just spend two hours on the phone with T-Mobile and blackberry support. This is how you fix it.
I removed the entire Roxio folder but you can just do the manager folder...
1. Close all open applications, especially Roxio applications. if the device manager is set to open on startup disable it. (right click on the BB device Manager next to the clock and uncheck the box at the bottom.) Restart your computer.
2. DO NOT OPEN THE DEVICE MANAGER.
3. Open 'my computer'
4. Double click on the 'C:' drive and browse to 'C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Application Data\Roxio' where 'USERNAME' is the name of the user you are currently logged in as. (if you don’t see the folder it is either hidden or you are using redirects) you can look up how to unhide files and folders someplace else. And your sys admin will know where the redirects are going if you are on a business network.
5. Right click on the 'MediaManager' folder and choose rename
when i try to load roxio media i get a massage "an unexpected error occured while launching media manager....... please ensure that the DM tools install properly
please help me
And presto... for me this started the program and I've been transfering photos and music since from the desktop to the Curve (8330).
Once the program starts I can access my media card and Curve storage area for transfers. I don't have to pull the battery to get to the media card and then plug it into a USB slot to transfer files.
Go to START/RUN then copy and paste the Unregister command in the run box. PRess OK
Do the same with the second command to register.
initialize the roxio product you are using.
If this fixes your problem, please post with the video adapter you are using.
This fix so far has worked on all the built by ATI AIW radeon and AVIO cards.
Just got an 8330 Curve and I've had the same problem. I've tried changing the settings on my BBerry. No luck! My work around? Use Windows Media Player. Trust me, it worked for the first time ten minutes ago. I'm listening, even as I type, to the Stones' Gimme Shelter. It's alot easier to use than Roxio which is just frustrating. I'm running WMP 11.0 on Vista (yes Vista) fully updated.
