Default iPhone theme - 06-30-2007, 05:39 PM

My question is to anyone who has or has used the IPhone theme. Is it something that you have liked for a theme comparing it to other themes that you have used?

Thumbs up iPhone - 06-30-2007, 08:07 PM

The iPhone theme is the only one I use. I think it's currently the best theme out there!

I downloaded the demo, and though it's a great idea, it's a little lacking in the execution IMHO. I would like to see all icons with text (like the standard bb themes and the iPhone theme).

Also, why is it that selecting an icon makes the icon SMALLER? Far better if it gets BIGGER, as normal practice.

I'm very glad someone has developed the theme, but it's not quite how I'd like it to be.

...just my opinion, of course. You can download the demo version for free and try it out.

On the original BB theme where you have the choice of what five icons you would like on the first screen is that possible with the iPhone theme?

Anyone came across to an iPhone theme that has horizontal zen? I'm just not so attracted to the vertical zen. THx!

jcextreme, the plazmic theme builder only has the template for the vertical zen and not the horizontal zen.

BBGregPearl, yes it is possible to have the choice of your five favorite icons on the screen. To do this, go to menu, organize applications, click menu again, and move your five favorite icons up. Hope this helps.

read the previous reply to this question...

Plazmic (Maker of themebuilder) only made 2 templates for themes.. ALL ICON or Zen with icons on the left...thats it..no other...

The Zen theme with icons on the bottom is proprietary to T-Mobile.

is there any reason why I can't activate the iPhone theme? I loaded the .alx through Application Loader and see it in the list, but activate isn't on the button press list.

Exactly how do you designate which five icons will appear?

Ok, that worked....Thanks very much. BTW, do you know where I can find a copy of the BB Dimension wallpaper...the standard one that seems to come with most all new BB's. For some reason, my Carrier decided not to include that wallpaper on the Zen theme...rather, they used their own default wallpaper which leaves much to be desired.

I have searched everywhere for that Dimension wallpaper (has the highway, green field, blue sky and clouds) but cannot find it.

Thanks for your help.

Nick

Which one did you purchase? I see there are quite a few available, but was wondering if there was one in particular that members found to be very well done and a cut above the others.

Support for this iPhone theme says it is by chance or luck that it works on teh Curve (8300). Curve support for the theme authoring tool is either not out or just released.

Stay tuned for the Curve iPhone theme I guess.

Being in technology and seeing the iPhone and knowing a few people that have it, all I gotta say is GOOD LUCK. I setup my unlces and it took us 8 Phones to finaly get one that works. None of them would turn on and when we took it to the store they didnt know what was wrong with it either. So good look with your crapy Apple product. To me they are just expensive paper weights and that goes for all there products.

This is a never ending argument. It is all a matter of opinion. The Blackberry is amazing at what it does, But if you need a multimedia phone and push email is not important to you, then the iPhone will suit you better than a blackberry. I prefer Blackberry over the iPhone, thats my "opinion". The Blackberry has all the functions that I need. To say all of apples products are crap is a little extreme. If they only made "crap" products I highly doubt they would be dominating the markets they are. Again, This argument is all a matter of opinion
