I am knew here and hope this question hasnt been covered yet...I do alot of video editing with roxio easy media creator 9..But when I load the (blackberry) desktop software so I can share media files between my computer and blackberry...I lose my video wave portion of my roxio easy media creator.. I have pulled my hair out trying to figure this out.In order to get my blackberry stuff installed it asks to change a bunch of things in roxio that I already have loaded with the easy media creator 9...I have tryed both ways checking no (abort) so it doesnt make changes and checking yes to make changes...and the result is still the same..Once I have the desktop software loaded for my blackberry I can forget using my roxio to do anything video related...And to get it back I have to uninstall the blackberry stuff and then uninstall the roxio program and then reinstall it to get it working right... how do i get these two things to not conflict ? I just hope someone understands my dilema?I want to be able to use my blackberry to load things from my computer and this way is just not working ..I guess my question would be ..is there another way to drop pictures and ringtones and other things into my blackberry 8830 with some other program that does not use a roxio program??? thank you for any help you can provide tracy

I just wanted to add..that I just want to add somple things like pics videos and ringtones to my phone.. and without screwing up ( my real job) which requires me to do video editing with my roxio easy media creator 9....is there some other way to get things into my blackberry...because I am sick of uninstalling and reinstalling things !! tracy

I am going to assume that you have a Mini-SD card in your BlackBerry. You do not need anything installed to copy files to/from it. All you need to do is enable Mass Storage mode on the BlackBerry.

If you need BlackBerry Desktop Manager to sync then remove the SP2 version you currently have installed and install SP1 instead. The SP1 install does not contain the Roxio software and should not cause issues with your previously installed Roxio software.

I do not currently have a micro sd card... and also can I ask how i enable mass stoarge mode? and how do the card swork? i put it in my computer and download what i want on the card ...then put it in my blackberry and ..i take it i am enabling this mass storage mode on my blackberry ??? sorry for the dumb questions but I got this phone and i am lost

When the SD card is in the BlackBerry you can access it directly from Windows Explorer. There is no need to put the card in a card reader on your PC. By default the BlackBerry will make the card accessible but you have to enter the device password (if enabled). I have mass storage mode turned off on my BlackBerry so I have to go to Options > Advanced Options > Media Card > Enable Mass Storage Mode to enable it for a one time connection.
