Default Anyone have this BB ringer? "Ringer_RoomService"? - 07-07-2007, 01:15 PM

Anyone have this preloaded ringer for download? It is called 'Ringer_RoomService" and came on the BB 8703e.

I really like this ringer, but just switched to a BB 8830 and it does not have any good ringers. Is there an way to transfer it from phone to phone?

Thanks

There is a way but takes a little bit of computer work. Use javaloader to install the net_rim_bb_profiles_tunes_tunebundles_tunes8700g.c od to the 8830. I've not tried that .cod on the 8830 so I don't know if it works or not but I have added it on my Pearl and now have the older ringtones.

Another method is to edit the .alx file to add that .cod and then place that .cod in the corresponding java directory then Desktop manager will install it.

The tunes 8700g.cod file is in the 8700 OS. Install it and copy the file out of the java directory for that OS. Then you can uninstall that OS from the computer if desired.

I'd like to get this ringer as well. I recently switched from the 8703e to the 8830 and I miss that annoying ring for my Level 1 messages!

Oooohhh... this sounds interesting. Does anyone have this .cod or extract available to try? Provided of course, that there is nothing "wrong" with doing so (I don't own an 8703e).

I like ringers that are... well, simple ringers (no songs or music).

Edit: I reread this and this may be the way to go:

We have two tones that might fit the bill. Look for the "annoying" ring tone and theres also a room service "clone" at RingChimp .com MobileCo Ringtone Section

Hope its what you are looking for!

The 8700g .cod no longer works on 4.3/4.5 devices. This is killing me because I love that ring tone. Anyone come up with a solution? I am going to try a clone of it for now.
