Default Using the Simulation No-Data-Plan Method: Problems Downloading - 07-11-2007, 10:17 AM

First, sorry if this is a dupe - I did some searching, but couldn't find anything (some of those topics are huge, and I couldn't find a way to search within one thread).

I don't have a data plan, so I'm doing the simulation to see if that'll work for me. I got everything up and running beautifully, except that I'm stuck figuring out how to download any ringtones. I've got a 7130c, and have tried several simulators (like the 7130e, 7130g, etc. - I couldn't find the exact 7130c, so I'm sticking with the same version number and close model number).

Whenever I get to any ringtone file, it gives me an HTTP error message - I'm assuming that it's trying to open it as a webpage. Is there something I need to do in order to save it as a ringtone? I'm a brand new BB owner, so I'm pretty lost. I've tried a (very small) mp3 file as well as some online adp files. Are those incompatible? Should I try others (wav / midi)?

Thanks for any help in advance!
