Default download video podcast or tv - 07-19-2007, 03:10 PM

Besides itunes, what source do you use to download TV or video podcasts?

Share TV and Life Hacker are a bit time consuming. I am willing to pay.

Any suggestions?

i use Miro - free, open source internet tv and video player sometimes but it can be a bit buggy.
I have found nothing better than iTunes for video podcasts (Revision3 stuff & AskaNinja) and movies/tvshows. Most tv shows are offered online from their networks but downloading them is not really legal without playing, but their are bittorrent ways of getting them.

Thank you. I will defintely look at your programs. Utorrent seems to work very quickly. I am on pace to downlaod a 30 min shared video file in a pproximately 90 min.

If I understand correctly, how are you getting itunes videos to work on your device? I ask because I would at least take the free stuff from CNN.

I subscribe to about 10 different iTunes video podcasts. Every day, after iTunes updates my podcasts, I just plug in my 8830, start up the Media Manager, choose all the new podcasts, and click "copy down." The Media Manager asks if I want to convert for optimal playback, I click OK, and I wait 10 minutes while the pathetically inefficient Roxio software converts the videos and puts them on my media card. I then watch them all on the train ride home.

Wirelessly posted (Verizon 8830: BlackBerry8830/4.2.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/105)

So you are taking them from the itunes module itself. Not a a third party?

Thank you

Can you or someone clarify?
