Default Newly installed theme not showing up on 8830 - 07-23-2007, 09:37 AM

I'm a new blackberry user so this could be an easy one...
I just installed a theme on my new 8830 world edition via the theme loader but it's not showing up in my list of themes. I'm on Aliant/Bell, not sure if I have to enable other themes or something. I'm under the impression I don't need the Plazmic theme reader with this version blackberry/OS.

Tried pulling the battery and uninstalling/re-installing the theme with no luck. It shows up in my application loader just fine. The them is the iPhone13a.

Any help would be appreciated.

I have had this issue with my 8700g BlackBerry when the theme I loaded is not for the specific OS I have installed on my BlackBerry. For instance, I installed a theme for OS 4.2.2, while my BlackBerry has the 4.2.1 OS installed.

Are you sure the theme was built for an 8800 series model?

4.2.2 themes - being that the only 4.2.2 devices and therefore themes are trackball based - will not work on an 8700 regardless of it OS version

No I'm not sure. That's most likely my problem, thanks.
I'm off to search for a free iPhone theme for the 8800 series.

Just noticed you were in Halifax, Perfect Storm. Nice to see a fellow Haligonian on here.
