a mini cooper will blow a gti :-| yea right. cooper is a granny car and it has like 170 hp how can 170 beat 200? maybe you raced a noob or someone who cant drive ;)

i have 310hp to my rear wheels, and my buddy only has 210, but he beats me everytime, cuz his car is about 800 lbs lighter then mine....

if you take out the unnecessary things in your car, then you will not loser
and it saves gas too

Here is one of my favorite 240's.

Dang! That 240 is hot. But my favorite is the s14 240sx, which i currently drive.

I use to own a 240 until I wrecked it into a semi. Wasn't the highlight of my year. Currently car-less and Im trying to find another one if possible.

I think some other people should post some pictures besides the people that we have already posted some. Everyone has to have something on the computer at least.

I would like to know what you have done to it. Also what year it is. My dad has an 04 cooper S and my car was either really close or beat him stock(I drive an 01 jetta wolfsburg edition which has the 1.8t engine in it). Now I have it chipped and a couple other things and would smoke him. My car also ways like 300 pounds more than his. The cooper is small but it's heavy for the size.

BTW a stock Cooper S would not take a new Stock GTI. Those 2.0 turbo's are quick little cars.

Plus you mention rear wheels. The new cooper is FWD. Not sure on the old ones but I thought they were FWD as well.

i wasnt talking about just the mini or VW... i was comparing my car, which is a skyline and my buddies car which is a 1gen RX7


my statment of HP to wieght ratio is for all cars... it doesnt matter how much HP you have cuz you could have a really heavy car its not going to go anywhere

My bad I didn't see who posted that the Mini's were faster than all those cars.

To the person that said his mini would smoke all the other cars, you car is not going to blow a new GTI into the weeds. Trust me, I have driven both. That is unless you have a lot done to it. It's not a whole lot lighter either. Not sure on the new GTI's but the mk4's were like 2800 lbs as I stated above.
