Love the theme, but I am disapointed you wont be sharing it. Better themes and more knowledge in the community of people developing them can only be a good thing for the blackberry platform.

If no inside information was used in the making of the theme I must say I fail to see how releasing it could do anything but help RIM by making their products that much more attractive when compared to Windows Mobile or iPhone OS.

Or are you saying that carriers might hold off on purchasing a new theme from RIM if they could use a theme they downloaded on blackberryforums instead? Like I said, I dont see the logic.

im sorry, i tend to agree with the majority of others. whilest im content with the wallpaper change, i do like to see what people are coming up with.
this is after all a forum, to my understanding, helping and sharing ideas with a like minded community.
all u have done is spoil the thread of what looks to be an execellent theme.

Dene,

You need to reset after installing the theme. That should take care of it for you.

@Perfect Storm,

LOVE this theme! Bar none, no complaints, ramblings, or excuses, I think its FANTASTIC. I could SWEAR that it wasn't real for a BB but I'm glad that I'm wrong on first glance.

Just like everybody dissing you here I TOO would LOVE to OWN & use this theme; but I will NOT ask, beg, or hassle you for it. Its not right, not professional which I thought most of us are on these threads but its beginning to look like the kids on Esato saying "nokia sucks" without any arguement to back up such nonsense. (Mind you there are some members that I greatly respect there that keep me going back there.)

I'm glad that this is possible and must've taken you quite some time to create. Everyone thats been dissing you on the last two pages should be GREATFUL to even SEE it - now knowing its POSSIBLE and SHOULD be inspired to try to acheive it.

Also to the thread starter love that theme, any way its possible to convert for those Pearl users? I may just go back to a BB Pearl this weekend, I seriously miss owning & using one.

Looking for that perfect signature, hmm.

Thanks benisntfunny. That worked!! The theme is excellent and I am so glad to be able to change away from the standard ones that came on the 8800.

Gah! Sorry guys I don't know how I overlooked my domain expiring. (I guess that makes sense why my email wasn't working) I've repurchased it and everything should be working shortly. Sorry about that! what a bonehead move.

Thanks for the email Ben... and for this interface...

Their Product Design looks like it was done at ArtCenter.
But their Graphic Interface looks more like kindergArten

Hey,

I love the theme.

I downloaded them OTA for 8700, both versions.
The themes appear in my applications list but are not listed under themes? What happened? How do I get them to appear in my themes list?

thanks in advance for your assistance.

Beautiful theme! One question, I OTA'd both versions on my 8700g. They both show up in applications and after 2 reboots only the "zen" type theme shows up in themes. Anyone get the Today theme working on an 8700g. Benisntfunny, any ideas here?
Thanks in advance!

Great job! The theme is beautiful. Just the font is to small for my eyes.

Im having an issue with googlemaps and this theme, when opening the menu it flickers too much to be usable. Has this happened to anyone else?

  • The menu was forced at 50 pixels rather than the 25 that the menu bar actually is. The theme has display issues otherwise. If this is fixed in Plazmic later I will adjust the theme accordingly.

I tried downloading the desktop version but it states the zip file is corrupt (I can't do OTA due to a proxy setting by work BES blocking OTA downloads).
Can any direct me to a better source for the ALX file?

The flickering is caused by a transparent item on the theme. Its a known bug with Plazmic, but they cannot get it fixed.

That is too bad. It bothered me enough to switch to the glass theme currently posted in the 8300 forum.

Thanks for letting me know the cause.

Hmm ... you know, Storm ... now that you've got BBeXtras up, you could probably throw this, or a similar theme on it. =] I have seen (and purchased) the Tiger theme, but this one is lovely, too.

Like the Theme! Couple of items of note:

Anyway to show a date in the theme or make the calendar icon reflect the actual date?

Anyway to separate the location of the message and voicemail icons in the banner on top? if you have both a message and new voicemail, the message icon covers the voicemail icon.

The font is pretty small, and the flickering on Google maps difficult to get over.

Sith is correct.

I guess all those folks who were convinced I had a beta of theme builder are starting to realize otherwise...
