Default Deleting Song Titles and Formatting Media Card

Please Login to Remove!

I formatted my media card (to start over on loading songs) but the original song titles still persist on my 8830. How do I remove those original song titles??

I just did this to my own memory card (reformated it, that is), and the song title were then no longer listed in my media section. I would try doing a battery pull and see if that clears it.

I don't know much about media type things, so maybe someone else can be a little bit more helpful/insightful.

Wirelessly posted (Verizon 8830: BlackBerry8830/4.2.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/105)

Make sure to delete from DM and that you are using the latest software updates.
You may also need to place card in media card reader in desktop and delete the files that way.

next time you can try to format the stick in a computer (if you have the possibility) this will give less troubles....

Removing the battery also worked for me, but before I ejected the battery I checked for any hidden files on my Blackberry Curve- and I did find some .dat files in the directories for Music (and the others) which I deleted.

Thanks for the fix!

Thanks for the great advice. I tried to delete the song three times from my blackberry and I was becoming very frustrated. Great advice.

Cheers
