Default Getting rid of 2 white stripes for wallpapers - 09-28-2007, 04:54 PM

when i set a wallpaper it has the top and bottom white lines that go through and aren't very pleasing to look at. any way to get rid of that so that the wallpaper covers the entire screen?

Are you sure that it is sized properly?

well its all 1280x800 resolution pictures from my computer so it should span out to entire screen, but even pictures i take on the camera at 1600x1200 do the same thing. it leaves the top and bottom blank.

Well I am not sure what the correct size is for that model. But it may be the THEME you are using....try changing themes and see if it changes.

i found out the problem you were right it has be exactly 320x240 or otherwise it clips it. i thought since i was using the big 1600x1200 it wouldn't do that but all is well now :]

I open the picture in Media that I want as wallpaper. I click the trackball and get the Zoom option, then use zoom to enlarge the picture just so the white lines disappear. Then I click the Blackberry Menu button and select "Use as wallpaper". The enlarged pic is used in whatever size you had last zoomed to.

OK... don't shoot me if this is bad info for your bb model. I have an 8100; I load all of my pictures/ wallpapers onto my PC. Then I use the Roxio Media Manager to put them onto/ or back onto my BB... it gives you the option when you "copy" to resize the pic to fit your screen. Like I said this may not be an option w/ your model.
