Default Blackberry screensaver generator ? - 10-12-2007, 12:40 PM

Can anyone help ? I am looking for someone to write a Blackberry screensaver generator for me. I will pay for this.

Blackberry screensaver generator

for more details

Thanks

Frank

P.S. My first ever visit to these forums. I dont even own a BB. If post like this is out-of-place (e.g. commercial stuff belongs elsewhere or is banned outright), I would be obliged if moderators explained rather than just banning the post.

I can generate a GIF on my server using Java 2D API. That will accept a few lines of text which is all I need.

Next question: What size GIF (height/width in pixels) ?. I assume make the GIF same size as screen. Which I presume varies per BB model ?. Any place I can look that up apart from trawling through specs for each model ?.

Or perhaps I can do an 'average' sized GIF and the BB will stretch as necessary or perhaps do a black border. Something like that ?.

Its tough not owning a BB and seeing what it looks like

Any help still appreciated

Frank

First, welcome to the forums. Second, look around and see what you find there at the FAQ site, full of answers.

Screen sizes: Wallpaper sizes for BlackBerrys - BlackBerryFAQ

I don't know that a ScreenSaver application running will succeed at the purpose of saving battery, since that is the purpose of the "off" condition of the screen as it is now wit the blank screen after timeout.

Good luck.
