i am getting all my messages through fine. if you arent getting some of your mail go to options > advanced > host routing table > menu > register now. if that doesnt work resend your service books. if that doesnt work, remove the accounts from the BIS, wait 10 minutes or so, then re-add them. During that 10 minute downtime remove the service books from your device by going to options > advanced > service books and deleting all but the provisioning service book

I am having issues with my BIS e-mail as well. I have resent the service books twice (once from the device and once from the T-Mobile BIS web site). The e-mail accounts' service books haven't made it to the device.

try the removal instructions i posted up a few posts. Remove the emails from your BIS account, and then remove the service books from your device. wait 10 minutes and re-add the email accounts. (just do this for the non-working ones)

It's kind of ridiculous that we even have to do this; the average consumer isn't going to a) know there was an outage or b) know how to resolve this or where to look for answers.

not everyone does have to do this. in the DC area, the big 4 carriers are all working with no issues.

I'm not sure who the Big 4 are, but Alltel isn't fully up in Central VA. alltel.blackberry.com isn't accessible from either the BB or the web, so It isn't possible to resend the service books. The browser works, I can load the WAP site and all my bookmarks, but I can't connect to the New Email Setup site.

I meant .com; I'm still getting a blank white page in Safari. In Firefox, I get the "connection has been reset" error. I'm not able to log in. I've done a battery pull, resent my service books, and re-registered my Berry through Options-->Advanced Options-->Host Routing Table. Still nothing. at&t in Columbus, Ohio.

My BES is working; not my BIS.

Sith Apprentice is wrong. I'm not receiving any email on 2 T-Mobile blackberries in Bethesda, MD. And T-Mobile's BIS site is not up, either.

T-Mobile has an 8 minute hold time. Clearly, there is a major outage.

Tmobile 8320 BIS less than 10 seconds to receive a gmail message. And just because Tmo has an 8 minute hold time, it may or may not have *anything* to do with BlackBerry. Being a carrier they can have other issues too

Well, don't make categorical declarations that there's no problem with the big 4.

well that would be the pot calling the kettle black eh? You may be having an issue but myself and over 30 people I work with in the DC area are not having problems with email or BBM at all. good luck with your "major outage"

if it were a RIM outage, you would be right, and we both would be unlucky. Since noone I am currently talking to is in the Bethesda area, its much more likely a Tmobile thing than a RIM thing. Web browing also works just fine for the record (both on and off WIFI).

RIM Tech Support Number "Currently we are not experiencing any outages"

According to T-Mobile blackberry support: "This is a known issue. Rim took their systems down, and there is still down time going on. It should have been resolved by now." I'm now on hold...

I use T-Mobile BIS. Normally around 8am (eastern time) an automatic email is sent from a service I subscribe to, but it is sent to my BIS email account (@tmo.blackberry.net). I just received it now, and it came a few minutes after I selected "register now" from the host routing table screen.

I reregistered using the host routing table and resent service books (I now can use T-Mobile's bis site) but still not email. Still on hold with T-Mobile, who is unsuccessfully trying to get RIM support on the line (out for donuts at Tim Hortons?)

This must be coming back, slowly. I just got a test email to my blackberry net acct that came in 23 minutes late. Standard RIM m.o. after an outage. Transferred to RIM customer support and been on hold since 11.

RIM just told me there is 'maintenance going on right now' and that he's had other people calling about the same problem. Just transferred me to a customer support specialist and I'm on hold again.

Still on hold, but a bunch of email is coming through on my OWA mailbox. Still nothing on my gmail domain hosted mailbox.

Just managed to log on to VZW's BIS site & resent Service Books.
Current emails seem to be coming through, but still waiting on prior emails.

I'm out here near San Francisco, my BB has been on for 1.5 hours and I have not received any of my BIS POP emails as of yet. I sent a test email to a gmail IMAP account and it took 1 hour to get to my BB.

The answer: RIM says they have extended maintenance beyond the original 2-6 am window (this is only affecting a subset of all Blackberry accounts, which explains why some people are having no issues). No ETA for when everything is going to be working again, but they are starting to start services back up, so it shouldn't be much longer till email should start again (ten minutes or two hours, he couldn't be more specific).

So hold tight and wait it out, fellow campers.

I have BES and BIS on at&t. My BES is fine. My att.blackberry.net address received an email. My GMail account has yet to receive any of the messages that I've sent to it.

I would definitely say that the Big 4 are not back up as of yet.
