Angry ANOTHER Damned Outage!!! >=( - 05-03-2008, 02:55 AM

It's currently about 10 'til 3 in the AM here in the Mid-Atlantic region, and I once again have NO data service from my BWC/BIS!!! No new email, no Internet Browser, hell, I can't even load the T-Zones webpage or any other WAP pages!

In fact, the ONLY data service of ANY kind that I have working is Opera Mini! By some miracle, whatever portion of the WAP service it uses is still working... for now.

But what I really want to know is, just what in the bloody hell do T-Mobile and RIM have against us night owls?

Because these outages are ALWAYS late at night, during the time when there's NOTHING on TV, and I'm getting bored, causing me to reach for my . It's getting bloody ANNOYING the way these outages ALWAYS happen when it's the most inconvenient for me!!!

My Phone: BB 8700g
My Accessory: Black Aliph Jawbone® Bluetooth Headset

It's a scheduled outage. Upgrades needed.

Doesn't really make it any less of an inconvenience though

All systems need maintenance, don't they?

Yes, it is inconvenient. And necessary.

Indeed it does interrupt the night owls most, but you obviously still have an internet connecting, and while there may be nothing on TV, there is the whole web to search and explore.

I am very thankful that my ability to tether does not get affected by these outages.

This maybe wishful thinking, but maybe RIM is updating BIS to the newest version so we can view html emails, when they release OS 4.5 for the 8300 and 8800 series.....

Every bit of info about this outage is on dataoutages.com

For JTC, I would think it's just a 1-vs-100 thing as everyone else is sound asleep.

If you subscribe to the Dataoutages mailing list you get a notification...
It exists because RIM doesn't send out notices to everyone.

Spotty VZW e-mails in Massachusetts, but Sports center is on, the wife is at work and I have the house to myself...all things considered, I'll live.

For what it's worth, whsbuss, I saw your other post so I checked: Email is going in and out for me. Blackberry browser ok. Haven't tested pin.

VZW is the issue for you? Or VZW in Philly? . . . just thinking out loud.
