Yes Empower has been long gone for a long time. I doubled checked in my applications its not on the phone.. Plus i did a wipe on my phone not so long ago and I havent installed anything on it. This is so weird... I know BIS 2.5 is active on my phone because im getting instant e-mails with AOL and i got a new MailBox Icon that shows a green envelope with the AOL sign below it. Im gona try and delete my account again, and resend service books? Ive done this twice already.

Yeah me too. I think that's the norm in order to save some data but imo they should have just added another option for that and have the customer choice for themselves. Maybe in the final official OS release it'll be truely automatic.

Wirelessly posted (T-Mobile 8100)

It's for security purposes. All externally linked images won't be downloaded automatically, regardless of the option setting.

EDIT: read about it here: http://www.blackberryforums.com/blac...formation.html

and here's the snippet of interest:

You are correct Sir. It's not for data saving after all.

Do an upgrade to 4.5.0.44. It should work with your .42 but nothing else has worked for you yet so doesn't hurt to try.

I'm having similar problems... I've deleted and re-configured my hotmail account, I've resent service books, and I've done a few battery pulls. I can send emails out, but I am not receiving any emails (HTML or otherwise). I'm running OS 4.5.44 on ATT 8100. Any suggestions? Thanks for the help...

its working fine for me now..but the most annoying thing i find is copy and paste no longer works properly.

because the composer does not support sending html emails the copied text looses all formatting even the line breaks!

I might just go back to Empower for now...

Rogers SAME DAY UNLOCKING Service: $16 !!!
T-Mobile Unlocks: $24
AT&T / Cingular Unlocks: $14.99
My Feedback

You sure empower will even still work? I suppose if you turn HTML viewing off.

I have a VZW CMDA Curve 8330 with 4.3.0.127 OS on BIS. Have now resent my books twice, rebooted phone....message menu has no "Get images" options; options menu has no "Enable HTML e-mail"; there is no HTML or pictures in any e-mails I test; and my BB is still not receiving my Hotmail e-mails instantly...still takes anywhere from 6-15 minutes to get to my device from my inbox like always.

What is going on....is anyone sure there is any updated BIS 2.5??? I sure don't see anything! (I even uninstalled my Empower trial and rebooted to check the e-mail stuff too). I also deleted and re-linked both e-mail accounts through the BIS site which is what this site: http://www.blackberryforums.com/gene...l-hotmail.html says to do. NOTHING CHANGED WOW

YOu have to upgrade to OS 4.5 to get HTML emails... You only have 4.3 so it will NOT work just like everyone has been talking about. There are some not legal copies of 4.5 around, but they are beta only right now.

Dude you are running 4.3 software.... 4.5 OS IS THE SOFTWARE YOU NEED TO BENEFIT THE UPGRADE. HTML is only for 4.5 devices and up

To start you need O.S. 4.5 which should be out around September.

And as far as Hotmail, delete the account on your BIS site, then re-add it,and give it some time and it should work...
