Default T-Mobile down in So Cal? - 09-15-2008, 03:23 PM

All the T-Mobile BB's in office have nothing in the signal area. No bars, and doesn't even say gsm, let alone GSM, edge, or EDGE. Anyone else w/ T-Mobile down?

I am in Orange County, CA.

We're fine in Santa Monica, but I have had reports of GSM only in Beverly Hills and the Hollywood area.

Just got off the phone with T-Mobile. Been on hold for 45 min! Outages between Irvine and Santa Monica. Affecting voice, with intermittent data outages.

One of our co-workers wen home for lunch and his data was working (MacArthur and Sand Canyon), but no voice. Came back to the office (Jamboree and 73) and has nothing.

T-M is working on it, but no word on how long they expect to be down.

Just got this from my T-Mobile rep:

Good Afternoon,

If you are not already aware, we are currently working to correct an outage that has impacted cellular and data connectivity in the Orange County/Los Angeles Region. We have isolated the issue to one of our partners who provide services with trafficking communication and are working diligently to correct the problem. I will provide an update immediately upon receipt from our engineering team.

Quoting a T-Mobile Rep: "We are having a large outage affecting much of Southern California right now. We have two OC12s down with Telco (AT&T) and Engineering is actively troubleshooting the issue. Eric and I are working closely with them and will keep you informed as we get more information. Thanks!"

I'm in huntington beach, and can't even connect to the network today. I spoke with a rep last week and he said there were outages in the area, but they should be fixing it soon. Last week I at least got GMS, and late data. As of this morning, I have no network and emergency calling only. This is EXTREMELY frustrating! Anyone else have NO network at all?

Called T-M and asked for a credit on all of our company lines for yesterdays outage. Gave it to me no questions asked, couldn't give it to me fast enough. $5 a day per line, and they counted Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. Boy did that add up quick (20+ lines)!
