T-Mobile Edge is out in Los Angeles. I'm near Wilshire and La Brea, but the outage may include Orange County and the Inland Empire.

People are having intermittant issues making or receiving voice calls.

John, thanks. I spotted that in the parallel thread that got moved over to this section just as I was drafting and posting my note.

Someone supposedly associated with TMO on Howard Forums (not an official spokesperson) is claiming that it is a triple fiber cut near their switch.

I honestly think they do have two separate issues occurring. The 3G issues and a carrier issue.

Given the breadth of the outage, I'm on your side.

The GSM issue was all weekend. The no service issue came about today.

That puts us all on edge.... errrr, and off EDGE.

I was just able to confirm it is two separate issues. ETA is tomorrow morning.

I drove from Wilshire/LaBrea into Hollywood and Los Feliz areas of LA. I got coverage and 7 hours of emails.

Coming back to Wilshire/LaBrea, I've lost my EDGE again.

Maybe it is 3 problems: the 3G oops; the fiber cuts; and faulty towers on Wilshire.

My area came back at 10:20pm.

Mine was out all day, I'm in North Orange County, it was GPRS for a while, then out completely for a couple hours, only data available and UMA calls only. Its up and running on EDGE now.

My understanding is the network has been fully restored.

Glad that you guys never had to wait until tomorrow morning.
