Wirelessly posted

It can be due to the fact that hurricane ike hit texas last weekend and the service is slow. I'm on att and live in south tx & my phone just barely got its signal back and the internets working faster again. After ike hit, the internet was going really slow and everytime I tried to make a call, it said call failed.

I agree it must be due to the storm. No issues in other parts of country that I am aware of.

Default Having the same problem - 09-23-2008, 09:18 AM

I called Verizon and they say they are working on a BIS problem with "blackberry" I would suppose they mean RIM. Not really sure when it will be fixed because I am in Tucson and not getting emails from certain accounts. Some accounts are fine others are not.

Default Problem here in Cincy, OH - 09-23-2008, 12:34 PM

Seeing problems here as well. Messages are coming through in blocks on some handhelds and perfectly fine on others. From what I've noticed if I perform a reconcile now the affected devices lock up briefly then the coverage indicator bounces from 1XEV to 1x and then back to 1XEV. At that point messages redirect to the handheld. Seen the issue with both the 8800 and 8700 series.

Certainly appears to be a coverage issue but I am still waiting on a confirmation from VZW.
