Just received this from T-Mobile US
There is a global data interruption affecting data transfers. This is affecting all markets; however it is sporadic…and affecting various parts of the country in various areas.
I do not have an ETA as of yet, but will update you as soon as I receive any further information.
If you have a WiFi enabled Device, & an available WiFi Network you can connect and will have Data Services.
Any update? I seen on dataoutage that someone reported that it was back up but I still just have edge.
I'm not in US, so hard to say. The T-Mobile rep who told me of outage said it was fixed, BUT other users were still reporting problems.
I'm fine now along with some of my other users.
I can connect via WiFi, but no UMA (in Los Angeles).

I have no email service with Verizon and a BlackBerry 8830 in Naples, FL
Also down on AT&T in Philly. Can get the network registration but no BIS email including
BIS is down for me too.
Verizon , Northern VA.
no gmail since 11am est, I am on Verizon, but I get my BES messages ok
No BIS messages for me either Verizon n DC
Verizon in Nebraska also slow to transfer mail.
UMA is working again for me tonight. Might have been my network -- but other connections were working including other VPNs.
No email in NJ
I'm on T-Mobile in NJ (USA) and no email. I have full cell coverage but My BIS is down.
Getting email and data via T-Mobile BIS in the DC area, but UMA has been dropping out quite a bit over the last three days (might be unrelated to the outages knowing UMA issues).
BIS and BES access on my 8900 seems to have been out for the sending of emails with attachments since about 2pm. It's now 5pm, and even sending via UMA isn't working.
EDGE from Tmo on my Bold in Vegas coming and going. Going from EDGE to edge to GSM and back. Been going on since Fri afternoon :(
