Default April 13th AT&T RIM National Outage - 04-13-2009, 03:12 PM
AT&T confirmed a Nationwide RIM Blackberry Email outage on April 13th at 10:00 am PDT.

Call AT&T and they will literally BS with you for an hour as they go down the list of idiotic options. Send yourself any email. Test your Internet Connection. Resend Service Books. Can we call you on another Phone, so you have two phones against your skull. I can't connect you with RIM unless I go down my checklist. Yada Yada Yada.

BTW DON'T delete your Email Service Books...

Good luck logging into BIS...

Let the BG know...so he can RANT against RIM and AT&T.

I just thought I was becoming unpopular, no email for 3 days.

Same here.

AT&T / Curve / Los Angeles area

Last BIS email I received (Yahoo) was 0848 PT 13 Apr
Haven't received any Gmail/BIS emails today 13 Apr

Sent email (Yahoo/BIS) from device successfully. Was able to retrieve via computer but doesn't show up on device.

BES working fine.

Did all usual things (hard reset, HRT, service books)

No emails for three days? I would implode. @blackberry address working just fine. Gmail is either not working or slow but I did receive Gmail at 9:20 am today. I'm on ATT in Nor Cal.

We haven't received 1 single notice about this to the mail lists and normally something like this, "National Outage" we'd been swamped with emails by now.

Default VZW Email Outage - Atlanta 4/13/09 - 04-13-2009, 03:39 PM
I haven't had any success with Email on the VZW network for hours. The "Email Settings" application will not initialize most of the time ("your device encountered a problem with this application's server"). OCCASIONALLY the email settings app will launch and I try to reenter one email account password to sort of force update it, and I get the same error message.

no way RIM is not having some sort of problem right now.

My att.blackberry.net address is working. My AOL and GMail addresses are not working. Can't sign on to the web site to do any maintenance.

looks like the service is down for me as well. tried to access the BIS from my-tmo...instead there's a blank white page every time i reload.

got a few gmails in my outlook and wondered y they didn't appear on the phone...

what was the ETA on this outage ?

Last email I got was at 12:28 pm EDT. I'm near Richmond, VA on AT&T. Got on BIS and sent service books, but the only email I'm getting is for my actual BlackBerry account. No Hotmail, no Verizon and no work email through OWA (which is the important one).

Down for T-Mobile since around 10ish and down with AT&T since around noon or 1.

Can send but not receive.

Can browse the web not problem.

Issue appears localized to email and both of my BB devices did not go out at the same time. Email was flowing earlier in the morning to both.

I am getting email now, 4 or 5 at the time, every couple of minutes. However, these are all what were deleted from my servers a couple hours or more. I went in and purposely deleted everything from my 5 email accounts (from the servers themselves) so I wouldn't get hit with it all on the BB. Apparently, RIM was pulling email, but it couldn't be delivered, so the issue must be with the carrier(s) and not RIM?

Alltel having problems too. So I've only had my pearl one day, and thought I had horked something up. Is there a place to look to find out if "the network" is in trouble (assuming they will own up to it)?
