Default T-Mobile outage? - 04-26-2009, 03:58 PM

I can't connect to EDGE. I'm stuck on GSM. If I connect over Wi-Fi, I'm fine. I've also got another T-Mobile BlackBerry (8320) and it's stuck on GSM also. It won't connect to EDGE either, but UMA is working fine for it like it is for my 8900. I'm in Orlando, FL if that helps.

I am in the same boat. T-Mobile Curve 8900. Mine shows EDGE, but none of the data services work. UMA seems to work fine, though. I am in Georgia.

I got EDGE back because it was a tower problem. But now I have "edge" and I have "uma." This started around 3 PM EST.

Mine has been happening since yesterday and is still going on. I am online with a T-Mobile rep right now. Mine still has uppercase EDGE. Seems like it is just the BlackBerry services, though. I can still connect to apps that use TCP data, and the T-Mobile browser works fine. But I can't use BlackBerry Messenger, email or the browsers (Internet or BES BlackBerry browser) unless I turn on Wi-Fi.

Have you tried pilling the battery and resetting the BB?
