6/5/09 Verizon data outage?
 

I was having trouble activating a device after an ESN swap as it wasn't getting any data signal. It was showing a 1x. I called Verizon and was on hold for over 30 minutes prior to someone answering.

The lady that answered said she just received a memo about a national data outage that affects more than just BlackBerry devices. She said they haven't sent out an official statement yet.

I have checked with my other users and they aren't having issues.

Anyone else experiencing any issues?

I am. Just noticed I have no connectivity to the web. Came here to see if there was a problem and low and behold...

I am on a BES and I am receiving mail very intermittently.

Hope it does not last long.

NYC. no data or BES emails. since about 11:30am today.

same here. Dropped to 1x, on BES, VZW, in NYC about 30 mins ago.

Tried battery pull and also a re-register via Host Routing Table with no luck

Same in Boston. No BES messages. 1x only. Began around 11:30.

Philadelphia here. I've been stuck on 1exv for about 45 minutes.

Data services seem to be back up right now for me.

Seem to be working again in south central PA

I'm in Stow, Ohio and have had this problem since Thursday afternoon. My BB phone goes from 1XEV to 1X.
