Possible issues with BBM and Pin Messaging, East Coast and more

i cant send any bbms...i think there might be an outage. i have verizon

penguin3107 07-23-2009 01:33 PM

There's no outage.
Have you tried a battery pull? What type of signal do you have? 1x, 1xev, 1X or 1XEV ?

zerog46 07-23-2009 01:46 PM

Something is going on, having problems in NJ as well.

John Clark 07-23-2009 02:06 PM

I've been having issues on TMo in OR. BBM's, pins, etc. A diagnostic reports no connection to the BlackBerry system or any of my email accounts, even though email comes through occasionally.

JSanders 07-23-2009 02:09 PM

Yea, things are sluggish here too, tried to BBM you Zero, no D or response.

zerog46 07-23-2009 02:13 PM

The only problem I seem to be having is BBM and PIN. JS you are showing as unreachable.

gmatthews1 07-23-2009 02:19 PM

I am having an issue with AT&T on Long Island. No Internet or Pin to Pin. MediaNet, Text and 3G are fine. On the phone with RIM now

am227 07-23-2009 02:26 PM

I am in NY and having problem with just messenger... but only sending. Receiving is fine.

There is something wrong. I too am experiencing slow BBM. Delivery status takes minutes to arrive (if it arrives at all), and I am receiving duplicated messages in return on occasion.

I concur.
Must've took a little while longer to reach my area.

Stevekatz 07-23-2009 03:17 PM

I was on the phone with tech support and he said that everybody using 5.0 messenger crashed the system.

zerog46 07-23-2009 03:23 PM

That would be funny.

drewlor 07-23-2009 03:29 PM

Having issues here in So Cal also.

gameboy213 07-23-2009 03:41 PM

Ditto on issues here in SoCal. Sprint. BBM's not going through.

goaliegirl 07-23-2009 03:44 PM

Same here -- I'm in Southern Ontario. My contacts in NY were having issues as well.

CoDudette 07-23-2009 03:44 PM

Not just the USA, UK as well, i'm in the UK atm, and its not sending.

authentic8 07-23-2009 03:57 PM

Same here in Chicago most of the day. BBMs and Pins only.

juwaack68 07-23-2009 04:10 PM

Issues here in West Michigan as well. Using both BIS and BES devices and both are having issues with BBM (not using BBM 5.0).

penguin3107 07-23-2009 04:13 PM

Putting my tin-foil hat on... Wonder if RIM is working on crippling the leaked BBM 5...

It would be a good idea if you ask me. That software is nowhere near ready for public release.

juwaack68 07-23-2009 04:15 PM

I totally agree. However, they can't stop the software leaks out of their own company, do you think they can actually cripple the usage? Well, I guess if the janitor unplugs the server to plug in the vacuum....
