hey guys just wanted to say hey..i got my first blackberry today..it is a refurb pearl...so far so good..i currently do not have the internet icon on my home screen and i did purchase a data plan..but i have not even had my phone on for 2 hours yet..so if it is not there by tomarrow i will give CS a call..

the carrier internet icon will come from your carrier via the air. if you put your sim in the icon should come.
check with your carrier that on your sim the services are activated.
Cool man, welcome. Well, hopefully you got the data thing on. You might want to check in the options to see if its turned off or not.....you go options>Mobile Network> and "Data Services" should be "on".....but anyways, and about your phone being refurbished, it should work fine. Most refurbished phones actually are better off than new ones because the company has like a certain point inspection that the phone has to pass, so that means they look at every nook and crany, (i think thats how you spell that). So dont be insecure about it....
